Common yarrow (Achillea millefolium), also known as Yarrow or Milfoil is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is a herb about 20 cm to 40 cm tall. Leaves are 5 to 13 cm long and aromatic if crushed. Flowers are small and white, yarrow flowers from  June to September. The fruit or seed is small and hard. Common yarrow grows along roads and in meadows, it does not like shade.

Yarrow has many medicinal properties, the plant was used to treat headaches, cuts, sores and burns.
