Common hops (Humulus lupulus), also known as Hops, European hops or Simple hops is a climbing, flowering and perennial plant in the family Cannabaceae. It is dioecious plant (separate male and female plants). Hops have lot of stiff hairs that allow them to climb and grow anywhere from 4 to 6 m.

Hops have fragrant flowers and the female fruits are used to preserve and flavor beer, so is widely cultivated for use by the brewing industry.
